need love!!!!!!

In my opinion, if an individual feels that they are not getting enough love from their parents, then the individual should try to get their parents attention in a good manner. Grin Most of us have both parents who are working and may not spend quality time with us as they are busy. By helping out our parents in doing house work or other task, we can actually gain their attention. It may impress them and make them feel happy. Smiley Thus, we can get more love from them. But remember that we should never compare among siblings how much our parents love us. Every parents love their child but they may not express their love.
In certain circumstances, second marriage may affect the family. But it all depends on the family members. Whether we have a stepmother or stepfather, we always have respect for them as our family member and should try to build a good relationship with them. Always remember to practice tolerance in our daily lifestyles to avoid any arguments or quarrels among family members. Cool

Career or Family?

For me, I will never want to choose between family and career. Both are equally important. I would choose career as I know that my mum and my siblings will be there always for me. They would prefer me being successful in my career first. :)Of course once we start working, we have to support or may be take care of our families. So, for me, both career and family should be seen as one thing. “ No money, No live” Cool

Time with the family

Quality time is an informal reference to time spent with loved ones such close family, partners or friends. Quality time is in some way important, special, productive or profitable. It is time that is set aside for paying full and undivided attention to the person at hand. Busy parents use the term to justify the limited amount of overall time they spend with their children.
The opportunity to experience quality time, or the actual time available to enjoy quality time is often said to be limited. However, this is outweighed by the importance, intensity or value attached to events or interactions which occur during quality time.
Quality time therefore has a degree of emotional or social "quality" which other aspects of personal life may lack. So by spending quality time with children will actually help the parents to express their love and the children themselves will feel attached to the family. Therefore there will lesser chance of the children to feel left out and indulge in bad habits or social problems.
Do you know that there is a Quality Time Magazine which is a free parenting magazine for families in Hampshire? It is the must have bi-monthly read for families with pre-school and school age children. Quality Time is about getting kids healthy, active, crafty, cooking, gardening and enjoying family life.

FAst food to b BANNED.....

I bet government will never ban fast food. :(Fast food has its own advantages and disadvantages. It is the fastest food available when you are hungry at the middle of the night or when one does not have time to prepare their own food. It is easy and convenient. Fast food restaurant often become one of the place we spend time talking or meeting up our old school mates. Smiley Not only that, many birthday parties for small kids are now held in the fast food restaurants. Fast food also means not-so-healthy meal. Yet it can be fitted into our healthy lifestyle. Cheesy We should learn how to choose fast food and learn how to resist the tactic the fast food restaurant use to encourage you to overeat such as meal deals, super-sizing and two for one offer. Cool

KFC!!mcD!PIZZA!

Tips and Tactics for Healthy Fast Food Meals
1. Order a single, regular cheeseburger
2. Choose burgers or wedges without added cheese or mayonnaise.
3. Order a large salad. Get a side or garden salad to complement a burger or pizza. Pour the salad dressing sparingly and try a low-fat or fat-free salad dressing.
4. Avoid regular soda, fruit punch or lemonade. Drink low- or fat-free milk, orange juice, unsweetened ice or regular tea, coffee, water or diet soda. Or even better purchase fresh fruit juices instead of gas drinks.
5. You want fries with that? If you just can’t say “no”, order the smallest size or split a larger order among several eaters.
6. Order a kids meal. There’s no age requirement. It is portion control at work.

Hypertension and diet

DASH stands for Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension. The DASH diet is an eating plan that is low in fat but rich in low-fat dairy foods, fruits, and vegetables. Following the DASH diet may lower blood pressure. The DASH diet may also help you prevent high blood pressure if you have prehypertension. DASH also recommends eating whole grains, fish, poultry, nuts, seeds, and dried beans (legumes) as part of a balanced diet. Lowering sodium intake can reduce. You can cut down on your salt (sodium) intake by using a salt substitute. Eating fewer processed foods, such as snack items, luncheon meats, fast foods and canned soups, will reduce the amount of sodium in your diet and help you lower your blood pressure. A diet high in calcium, potassium, and magnesium may lower your blood pressure. To increase the potassium in your diet, fruits and vegetables are excellent sources of this nutrient. Dairy products are high in calcium and magnesium. DASH recommends that you eat 8 to 10 servings of fruits and vegetables and 3 servings of low-fat dairy products each day. Eating a diet low in both saturated fat and total fat will also help lower your blood pressure. Saturated fat is found in meats, cheeses, butter, poultry, snack foods, and other processed foods. In general, vegetarian diets reduce blood pressure. The DASH diet could easily be a vegetarian diet if legumes were substituted for meat. Vegetarian diets tend to be higher in potassium, magnesium, and calcium, as is the DASH diet. Vegetarian diets also are higher in fiber and unsaturated fat than other diets. Controlling your weight, increasing your physical activity, and reducing sodium in your diet will help reduce your blood pressure even more when combined with the DASH diet.

vegetarian is it good?

A vegetarian is someone who does not eat meat. There are several kinds of vegetarian diets such as lacto-ovo vegetarians, lacto-vegetarians and vegans. Lacto-ovo vegetarians eat milk products-such as milk, cheese, and yogurt-and eggs, but no meat. "Lacto" means "milk." "Ovo" means eggs. Meanwhile lacto-vegetarians eat milk products, but not eggs or meat. Lastly, vegans are total vegetarians. They eat only plant foods. They don't eat food that comes from animals in any way, including milk products, eggs, honey, and gelatin. Many people are semi-vegetarian. They may eat fish or poultry, but no red meat or they may eat meat only once in a while. Reasons of choosing vegetarian diets are a vegetarian diet can be healthier than other diets, some people think it's wrong to use animals for food, some religions forbid eating meat or certain animals, a vegetarian diet can cost less than a diet that includes meat and some people just don't like the taste of meat. Smiley Therefore, it is up to the particular individual whether they to classify vegetarian as good or bad to them. Cool

Diet..Is it for health or to get a good body shape??

Diet (nutrition) is the sum of the food consumed by an organism or group. Dieting means the deliberate selection of food to control body weight or nutrient intake. Diet food is those foods that aid in dieting. It is good for an overweight or obese individual to go on diet to reduce their weight. Overweight or obese people are more prone to certain diseases. Even though their aim to reduce their body weight is to have a good body shape, the probability of them getting certain disease has been reduced. So, dieting is advisable but it should be done in the correct manner and must always include exercise. Smiley

Poverty

Poverty cannot be reduced by donation. The donations that they get can just make them feel better for a month or two. People who are under the poverty line should be identified and given job opportunity. Not only that, these people should go to the local housing government and apply for a better house to stay. Our government has provided many apartments for people who have low income. Even in secondary schools, our government provides scholarships where yearly poor students are given RM500-600. There are many others plans that our government are doing to help the poor people. It is just that the poor people are not told or exposed to the help that they can obtain. Some poor people are still not reachable for now.

By donating, we help to relieve the burden of the people who live below the poverty line. First, it is important to identify those people who are poor and then we should look into their problems. Poverty is often associated with lack of education and inability to find a job. Sad Thus, providing job opportunity to these people and providing education to their children will be a good way to reduce poverty in our country. Malaysian citizen who live in squatter are should apply to the local housing government to rent a house to live. Smiley There are many lost cost houses that are provided for low income citizen. So, identification of poor people is very important to reduce poverty. Grin

solutions to poverty

I agree that poverty in our country may not be as bad as Africa. We do not hear of people die due to lack of food in Malaysia. But how many meals do poor people eat in a day? Is the food supply enough for them? Or how many times in a week they eat? Are they having balanced diet or are they starving? We should first identify the people who are still poor. Then, provide them with a house which has all basic needs. After that, job opportunities should be provided to them. If the children are studying, then the school fees and transportation should be fully sponsored. The children should be given free food which is nutritious and enough for them. Free uniform can also be provided. Our government also gives allowance for children who are poor. Poor people should also be given more education opportunities. Many private companies and organization can help to give donation or any of their products from their company or any other help to lessen the burden of poor people.

No discrimation to FEMALE

hmmm...you guys are absolutely right!!!! everyone plays a role in promoting women's health, but i would like to focus on the society on the whole...
first of all, discrimination against women should be abolished!!!
no matter what happens to a girl, for instance, rape, the girl gets the blame and the culprit escapes!!!
society should change their mindset and should stop putting the blame on the girls and women!!!!

Problems faced by Women

educate the women, especially those in the rural areas about their rights..
incorporate a non profitable organisation in kementerian wanita,pembangunan.... to monitor the prolems faced by women and help them solve it!
male counterparts should be educated also !!! it's even more important to educate them and inculcate values such as respecting and honouring women since their childhood...

women is a very unique creation of god

well,such a controversial topic?
anyway we can look at it in a positive way..no one should put down our male counterparts when we are discussing this topic!!!
women and men complement each other...both have their own role to play in this world....

Sex education in secondary school

should sex education taught in schools in malaysia? what are the advantages and disadvantages?
some of the key points:
advantages:
the youngsters will pratice safe sex
rate of teenage pregnancy can be significantly reduced.
disadvantages:
wide practice of premarital sex.
more cases of sexually transmitted disease.

caffeine intake in pregnancy

caffeine intake does indeed restrict the growth of fetus.
also contributes to reduction in birth weight.

Teenage pregnancy

the parents are to be blamed for sure.teenagers who do not get the attention, love and support from parents are more likely to end up getting pregnant during their teenagehood.

the teenager herself is also to be blamed....she should know what is the consequences of her actions in these phase of her life.these teenagers should think wisely and choose the right thing for their life and future.

HIV Among Teens

educate them about safe sex!!!!
they do not respond well when we promote abstinence from sex,so we have another option..
teach them to use condoms and the importance of it.HIV can be prevented by using condoms!!!!!!

What dr should do to help pregnant teen?

doctors should counsel the teenagers of the consequences of continuing or terminating the pregnancy.let the girl decide.but the doctor should guide her to make a good decision.and refer her to a shelter for pregnant teenagers.

Teen suicide

it begins from their childhood.
parents should inculcate good values in their child, telling them that it is foolish and wrong to commit suicide.
no matter what happens, all problems can be solved.never, ever think of comitting suicide.

Way to discipline children

I think children should be rewarded when they behave their best.acknowledge them and motivate them further.
this simple act will boost them up to behave well at all times.
when they misbehave, let them know you are disappointed with their behaviour.
talk to them and tell them clearly what is their mistake.
this is because some children do not realise the are doing something wrong unless they are told.
this is very important,do not give in when they throw tantrums, especially in front of other people.
if it is in a shop, hold his/her hand firmly and walk out of that shop.
let them cool down and talk to them.

women in the workforce

I think I agree with the statement that women in workforce do contribute to the increase in social illness. Household were usually managed by the woman. They become housewives and take care of the essential needs of the whole family while the husband goes to work to get income. Therefore, woman stays at home and will look after the children and help the children with the studies. Therefore, while the father is working, the children are left at home with the mother. So the behavior and activity of the children are monitored by the mothers. But as women started to work, the children are left home alone. Therefore, the children feel bored to be home alone and they also have the freedom to do anything they want. This factor may contribute to the rise in social illness.

children of divorce parents

After divorce, not only the couple need additional supports but also the children. Children need people with whom they can comfortably express their negative emotions.
Some kids may avoid talking to their parents because they don’t want to hurt them or because they feel guilty adding to their problems. Others may feel intense anger and emotionally separate themselves from their parents, closing the door to communication. In these and other cases, children may benefit from having other people to talk to.
Kids also need skills to manage stress and coping with situations over which they have no control. Problem solving skills can help kids adjust to the issues of divorced families. As children are still young, they may not have the ability to think wisely and make decisions rationally. Additional skills and support may come from:
Relatives. Sometimes aunts, uncles or grandparents may provide a familiar environment where kids can share their deeper feelings. When parents do not want their children to visit the ex-spouse’s relatives, it may help to honestly question if that decision is in the best interest of the child.
Family friends. Visits or outings with family friends may also be helpful for kids who need help adapting to a divorce.
Teachers. Educators should be informed when parents are separating or divorcing. They can provide valuable support during the many hours your child is in school. It also helps them understand your child’s behavior and prevent problems with classmates and grades.
School counselors. In some schools, counselors may provide services for a limited time.
Faith-based counseling. Some religious organizations provide support for families that are going through a divorce or dealing with the effects of a divorce.
Trained mental health professionals. A child or family therapist can help children express and work out their complicated emotions in a safe environment, and can help normalize and stabilize the child’s situation. Some therapists may also conduct counseling groups for children which help decrease the sense of aloneness in this new life problem.

Pre marriage check up for diseases

The concept of pre marriage and later pre pregnancy checkup is for the areas of sexually transmitted infections, immunization, contraception, genetic problems, hormonal imbalance and gynecological problems. The diagnosis and treatment has to be done prior to marriage and pregnancy, as after marriage, it is too late.
First is the subject of consanguineous marriage that is, getting married to a close relative such as cousin or uncle (mother or father’s brother) as is a tradition in some communities. This greatly increases the risk of genetic disorders in their children. Prior to arranging such marriages any issues of genetic problems preexisting in the family should be closely looked into. A Karyotyping (blood test for genetic abnormalities) of both partners will pick up any genetic defects, which may be later inherited by their children in a more severe form. Also special tests for thallasaemia should be done. Thallasemia testing prior to marriage is important as both the partners may have thallasemia minor and may not even be aware of it, as it causes no symptoms. However the child born to both parents of thallasemia minor, has a 25% chance of having thallasemia major which is a serious and life threatening disorder. The test for thallasemia is a simple blood test. The subject of doing HIV (AID’s) testing prior to marriage is sensitive but some communities have already made it a compulsory practice. This is a good practice as initially the infection may show no signs and the infected person may be unaware of it. However the risk of transmission through intercourse later on is high and not only the partner but their children later may also acquire the disease and hence testing is a good idea. Hepatitis B is another serious infection which can be sexually transmitted and about which the infected person may not even be aware. The partner can be protected by taking hepatitis B vaccine prior to marriage in these cases. If the women is hepatitis B positive, there is a high risk of her child getting infected during pregnancy and delivery or soon after, if due care is not taken. Therefore Hepatitis B vaccination in all hepatitis B negative patients prior to marriage is a good idea. Also the women would be tested for rubella and chicken pox and if negative should take the vaccinations pre-marriage as these infections if they occur during pregnancy later, can be dangerous. Nowadays one sees a lot of other sexually transmitted diseases (STD’s) such as herpes and syphilis. These can be easily checked and diagnosed either by an examination or by blood tests and treatment done prior to marriage and conception. Many gynaecological problems such as fibroids, endometriosis,
adenomyosis and ovarian cysts
occur in young women. These if diagnosed and treated early can be completely cured. A routine gynaecologial examination andsonography will be able to diagnose all these problems. Also if the woman has heavy, painful or irregular periods, she should get a check up done. Hormone problems are common in young women. Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is seen in 25 – 30% of young women. This can cause weight gain, acne, facial hair growth, irregular periods, infertility and miscarriages. If diagnosed early, it can be successfully managed. Also thyroid disorders are easy do diagnose and treat and should be checked regularly. Diabetes and high blood pressure can exist in young woman and men today and simple check up and tests will be able to diagnose the problem, so early treatment can be initiated. Also disorders such as epilepsy, blood disorders etc should be diagnosed and treated. Tuberculosis should be diagnosed and treated early. There can even be tuberculosis of the uterus (womb) and tubes in women. Infections such as Chlamydia are difficult to diagnose but can cause severe damage to the tubes in women and can cause infertility therefore if there is any suggestion of pelvic infection such as abdominal pain and fever ,these tests should be done. Human papilloma virus (HPV) is a viral infection which is sexually transmitted and known to cause cancer of the cervix (mouth of the womb). This can be easily tested by taking smears from the vagina. Man, may have problems which such as impotence or some abnormality of the penis, hydrocoele or hernia which they are embarrassed to reveal. An andrological examination will reveal these problems, most of which can be treated. Blood group testing is not very relevant as if the wife is Rh negative and the husband is Rh positive, the management is very simple- one injection of Anti-D during pregnancy or after delivery is all that is required to prevent problems. Other blood group combinations are of no importance.

HIV patients

I think everyone have rights to get married including HIV patients. But, HIV patients should inform the partners before they marry. It’s up to the partners to decide whether they should marry the HIV patient or not. These couple may decide not to have children so that the disease will not be transmitted to their children. HIV patients can still lead a wonderful and happy life with their partners.

Divorce

Divorce can be said as a complication of marriage. Not all marriage ends up with divorce. Divorce happens when there is no mutual understanding between the couple. I think in all circumstances, couples should always try their very best to understand each other and practice tolerance in their daily lifestyle. They should be very loving and try to avoid disagreements and quarrel. Apart from that, they should learn how to be responsible and take good care of their partners and family. Smiley Remeber to value your partners and make them happy always.

Tension...? Stress...? It's the same....

For what I have known, crying is actually done to express sadness. No one would cry if they are happy. Every woman has different characters and are said to be complicated. It’s up to the individual in how they want to relieve their stress. Crying is definitely not the best way. I think woman should not cry to relieve stress. Stressed can always be relieved by exercising, going for a movie, chatting or even eating. So, I don’t think woman should cry to express their stress.

Storage of Breast Milk

I think many working woman practice this method of storing breast milk. Some working women do not want their newborn to be fed using milk powder as they know the importance of breast milk. So, they use this way to provide breast milk for their newborn when they are at work. My cousin who is a teacher also practices this method. Another cousin of mine who is a doctor also has practiced this before.

Breast cancer

The flood of pink has taken over the world. Do you all know that October is the Breast Cancer Awareness Month? Breast Cancer Awareness Month is worldwide. The awareness has increased in many countries all over the world including Malaysia. But, I do not deny that many women are still unaware of their risk of breast cancer. There are some awesome ads done in many countries on how to promote breast cancer awareness. The Cancer Patients Aid Association in India had stickers put on fruit reminding women to perform self-exams.

This is how Malaysia is promoting breast cancer awareness. The PRICE CUT sign (please download at the attachment) was displayed to demonstrate that it’s as easy to overlook early signs of breast cancer as it is to skip over the small print. With the tiny font, it reads: “Unfortunately, it isn’t as noticeable as a price cut! 80% of women miss the first signs of breast cancer. Early detection saves lives.” [http://www.thefrisky.com/post/246-breast-cancer-awareness-ads-from-around-the-world1/]

Furthermore, 12 booklets on diagnosis, treatments, nutrition and commonly asked questions were translated into Bahasa Melayu with the help of physicians, the Malaysian Translation Association and volunteers. Our Government ministries have helped to distribute the materials around the country. There are also plans for translation of these booklets into Chinese and into a simpler, low-literacy translation for rural populations

While browsing through the internet for information on breast cancer awareness in Malaysia, CLEO(magazine) has also published an ad on Breast cancer awareness with the title WHITE SHEET. The ad is just a plain white page with a note written on the lower edge of the sheet. The note on the ad said this “To find out if you have breast cancer, press your breasts against these pages.
Surprisingly, a discharge from the nipples can also be a sign of cancer. Often, it leaves a pale yellow or reddish stain on the bra. Other signs include a rash, lump and dimpling of the skin. Breast cancer affects women of all ages, so it's best to self-examine your breasts regularly and see your doctor for a mammogram. To know more, call The Breast Cancer Welfare Association at 03-79540133 or visit radiologymalaysia.org”.
I am just trying to make it a point that even magazine in Malaysia has started promoting breast cancer awareness.

In Malaysia, there were many Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign held in this year. These are the list of few programs done by NGO:
• The EstĂ©e Lauder Companies Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign Charity Gala Dinner, KL Hilton on 16 Oct 2008 attended by nearly 500 people in support of breast cancer awareness and to raise funds for a worthy cause.
• Menara Kuala Lumpur Lights Up in Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness on 14 Oct 2008. Menara KL would be illuminated in pink beginning 14th to 31st October 2008.
• Breast Health Workshop with a Difference, Petaling Jaya – 6 Sep 2008 by Dr Evelyn Ho, a consultant clinical radiologist by profession and President of the College of Radiology, conducted a breast health workshop to unravel the “myths” of the breasts, imparting tips and tricks of effective self breast examination built upon a foundation of knowing enough about the breasts to understand normal physiological changes.

Arranged marriages and love marriages??????????????

In my opinion, I think both arranged and love marriage can lead to divorce. So, it does not really matter how they got married. As long as they can understand each other and are able to tolerate each other’s character, the married couple can stay happily ever after together. When you are in love or getting married, just make sure that the person really suits you.

Single-parent family

Surely a single parent family is considered as a family too. This type of family would face lots of financial problem. The sadness of losing the father or mother will be always there. They will be stressed and now, the older siblings have to carry the family responsibilities. Not only that, due to lack of love the teenagers may be involved in social problems or even may stop schooling. The whole family will suffer for a very long period of time.

Extra-marital Affairs

I think I would too ask my spouse to leave his affair. Of course, I would give him a chance or two because of my children. I would not choose to divorce him because it would allow my spouse to marry his affair and live happily with her. I will still stay with my spouse and have spy on my spouse. Or I would even go to the extent of migrating to another country. Why should give up my spouse for someone else?

women in the work force

I think that it is a good thing that more women are working nowadays. It shows that women are now more independent and are able to take care of themselves. Women in Malaysia proven that they can support the family without a men’s help. Actually, it shows the amount of development and improvement in our country. So, I am glad those women are getting better and better in their life.

househusbands

what is your opinion on househusbands?
should we encourage them or discourage?
for your information, househusband can be defined as man who stay in the house and take up the responsibilities of a wife. Wink

Hmmm…
In my live, I have a seen a Malay man, Mr. X becoming a househusband. Mr. X was actually working for MAS (well paid job) and got married to a doctor ( currently working in the ministry). He has three kids. Unfortunately, the second kid has some disabilities due to certain complications during pregnancy. After the second child was born, Mr. X resigned his job. He could have asked his wife to stop working. But, instead he stayed at home to take care of the second child as well as the family. I seriously respect him for what he has done. He respected his wife and did not mind staying at home taking care of his family even though he had his own career. Smiley

So househusbands are upcoming trends nowadays...
it actually shows women are no more like in ancient days..
we,women, can too work n support our family....
We should always see life in a positive approach
everything has its good and bad..
so up to an individual to support 'HOUSEHUSBANDS"

menopause

AS we WOMEN out there, one day, all of us will face problems adapting our selves to MENOPAUSE...
Its just that some women get it earlier and the rest may get later in their life...
But..
can we adapt to the changes that happens to us ???
ask urself
These are the several problems that we may face later on in our lifes or maybe these are the problems faced by our mothers...

Severe backache,Infections such as urinary tract infection and vaginal infections, Urge to urinate when cough or sneeze, Dry vagina, Painful sex, Osteoporosis, increase in cholesterol level...

i would lik 2 tel every1 out ther..
consult a doctor 2 discuss bout menopause
take precautions b4 u get any of the above symptoms

The Malaysian Menopause Society is a non-profit charitable body dedicated to the welfare of the climacteric problems for both women and men and their related disorders. So y dont v make effort in learning ourself better in each stages of our life as all womens are gifted to be born as one...

Good DIET plans...

In my point of view, healthy diet is essential for teenagers. They should increase the intake of fruits and vegetables in their food intake. Oily food should be avoided. Drinking plenty of water is good for health. Exercise is essential to maintain body weight and make teenagers feel more active. Carbonated drinks should be totally avoided. Consuming fast food once in a month would help to maintain a healthy body. Avoid over eating. Never skip meals especially breakfast. One can eat more frequently and in a lesser amount in order to reduce weight. Keep on reminding yourselves that your health is very important to you and it is as important as your life and studies are. Cool

Say NO 2 premarital sex

In my personal view, having sex before marriage is an individual’s own right. It is up to the individual to say yes or no to premarital sex. But, one should think very wisely on deciding this matter. They should think about their religion, their family and the consequences of their decision. The couple should be really sure that the decision of having premarital sex is the right decision to make. I just want to add that think rationally before having premarital sex. Cool

Methods of relieving stress...

There lots of ways to relieve stress. For me, I would prefer eating or going out to watch movies to relieve my stress. Not only that, I would talk to my best friend and my mum about my source of stress and get some felling of comfort from them. Nowadays, I reduce my stress by jogging as it makes me feel happy and more peaceful mind. It is also fun to just sit and day dream while relaxing. Any type of activity can help one to reduce stress as long as the activity is a healthy activity. Please do not get involved in smoking, alcohol or drugs to overcome stress. Lips sealed

Public Caning in school

Public canning is such an interesting topic to discuss about. I still remember my big brother got public canning when he was in secondary school for going to school late. He never felt ashamed about it and in fact public canning never changed his attitude of going late to school. Therefore, I strongly disagree of using public canning as a way to discipline a student. food poisoning..

I personally think that food poisoning in school should be the concern of the school authorities and the canteen owner. Sudden inspection by Health Ministry officers or even school headmaster should make the canteen authorities to always maintain the cleanliness in the canteen. The food preparation process should also be taken into account during inspection. As a future medical doctor and being a member in the parent and teachers association in future, I would take the responsibility inspecting the cleanliness and the method of cooking used. Not only that, I could help in educating the parents to prepare meals for their kids for recess time. Home food may decrease the occurrence of food poisoning. Smiley

Peptic Ulcer!!!

The most common cause of peptic ulcer is Helicobacter pylori infection. Cheesy Other causes of peptic ulcer are increase acid and pepsin enzyme produced by stomach, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs like aspirin, ibuprofen and naproxen sodium, cigarette smoking, beverages and foods that contain caffeine, alcohol consumption and emotional stress. But in Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome, peptic ulcer can be seen without infection of Helicobacter pylori. Smiley

Cholera

In Malaysia, Cholera is said to be more common in Sabah and Sarawak due to lack of clean water supply and lack of cleanliness. For an example, in April 2007, there was an outbreak Cholera in April affecting 90 people with one death was reported in 3 northern districts of Sabah in March. Among them, 50 had been categorised as Cholera patients and 40 as carriers. The areas affected included Kudat, Pitas and Kota Marudu. Meanwhile in January 2007, 15 cases of Cholera with 54 cases in carrier stage were also reported in Sandakan.

Sexual edu 4 children

Sexual education is not suitable for children below twelve I think. Shocked During kindergarten or primary school, students can be taught on how to protect themselves sexually in order to reduce sexual harassment in young age. In the age of ten and above, schools should start introducing reproduction in science and how it works. While in secondary school, the education system should be teaching students that how premarital sex can be dangerous. Not only that, parents should really take care of their child and make them realize that sex before marriage is wrong and it is a sin. Smiley

Premarital SEX....

Is it true that everyone who is getting married is still a virgin? I think that it is not wrong to engage into premarital sex if you are hundred and one percent sure that you are going to marry that person. I seriously think that there so many people out there who have sex before marriage. As an adult, if you are matured enough and can face the consequences of your own actions, then premarital sex is not a problem. May be in 1970’s or 1980’s, the term PREMARITAL SEX was unheard. During those time, people get married by the age of twenty or early twenties and there is no need of having sex before marriage. But nowadays, most youngster marry at the age of late twenties or early thirties as they do not want to get committed early in life. So guys and girls, once you think that you found the SPECIAL ONE, get married and avoid having sex before marriage.

Improving the Nutrition of Food Sold in School

The cafĂ© owner can prepare food with using more healthy oil and more vegetables. But, I think the food will definitely cost a lot more than the normal price. Furthermore, the health officers can only check the cleanliness of the canteen and how clean the food is being prepared. I seriously think that if parents want their kids to have nutritious food, then they have to take extra effort of preparing the food for their kids. When I was small or even schooling time, I was never bothered about how nutritious is my food. So, I think the children should decide what they want to eat. Campaign in school on ‘Nutritious Food’ should be held to teach the students on how to choose healthy food.

STRESS in academic field

For me, I should feel stress in order to study...
If I feel relaxed, then I will never concentrate in my studies
So, feeling of stress should be there in order for us to study…
But don’t get over stressed…
By getting over stressed, one can go insane or even worse, one may commit suicide
Be happy always

Tuition as upcoming trend

Tuition is not after all that bad. Going to tuition is mainly to study and learn up things that have not been covered by the school teachers. It actually enhances our understandings and tuition teachers teach in a more understanding way. They focus on the weakness of the student and try to help them. Not only that, going for tuition actually gives us a chance to meet up new friends from other schools. My tuition teachers were always cool. My friends and I talk and gossip during our tuition time after finishing our works. It all depends on what is one’s perception is on tuition. Smiley

Promoting women's health

Women and men are actually made for each other. I think it a great idea to involve man I promoting woman’s health. But, I think it is not that easy to actually practice this idea. How many women would want their spouse or boyfriends to come and talk to them about “WOMAN’S HEALTH”? Even I would feel uneasy if this happen in my life. I personally think that more health promotion should be done for teenagers in schools. The authorities can even have monthly free pamphlet on how to take care of woman’s hygiene, menopause and other related issues.
