I think I agree with the statement that women in workforce do contribute to the increase in social illness. Household were usually managed by the woman. They become housewives and take care of the essential needs of the whole family while the husband goes to work to get income. Therefore, woman stays at home and will look after the children and help the children with the studies. Therefore, while the father is working, the children are left at home with the mother. So the behavior and activity of the children are monitored by the mothers. But as women started to work, the children are left home alone. Therefore, the children feel bored to be home alone and they also have the freedom to do anything they want. This factor may contribute to the rise in social illness.
