Poverty

Poverty cannot be reduced by donation. The donations that they get can just make them feel better for a month or two. People who are under the poverty line should be identified and given job opportunity. Not only that, these people should go to the local housing government and apply for a better house to stay. Our government has provided many apartments for people who have low income. Even in secondary schools, our government provides scholarships where yearly poor students are given RM500-600. There are many others plans that our government are doing to help the poor people. It is just that the poor people are not told or exposed to the help that they can obtain. Some poor people are still not reachable for now.

By donating, we help to relieve the burden of the people who live below the poverty line. First, it is important to identify those people who are poor and then we should look into their problems. Poverty is often associated with lack of education and inability to find a job. Thus, providing job opportunity to these people and providing education to their children will be a good way to reduce poverty in our country. Malaysian citizen who live in squatter are should apply to the local housing government to rent a house to live. There are many lost cost houses that are provided for low income citizen. So, identification of poor people is very important to reduce poverty.
