In my opinion, if an individual feels that they are not getting enough love from their parents, then the individual should try to get their parents attention in a good manner. 
Most of us have both parents who are working and may not spend quality time with us as they are busy. By helping out our parents in doing house work or other task, we can actually gain their attention. It may impress them and make them feel happy. 
Thus, we can get more love from them. But remember that we should never compare among siblings how much our parents love us. Every parents love their child but they may not express their love.
In certain circumstances, second marriage may affect the family. But it all depends on the family members. Whether we have a stepmother or stepfather, we always have respect for them as our family member and should try to build a good relationship with them. Always remember to practice tolerance in our daily lifestyles to avoid any arguments or quarrels among family members.
